About Mexican Clothing

July 19, 2008 – 10:22 pm

The mexicanos who live in cities will often and normally wear regular clothing that is worn in the USA and Canada. However the people of Mexico who live in the small remote villages throughout the country will normally wear trousers, sombreros and cotton shirts that are called ponchos. These ponchos are very beautiful and vast in their color array, the mexican clothing colors normally stick to a certain pattern but the mexican clothing colors of a poncho are blue, brown black, red, green, yellow, pink and even white and orange sometimes. The way the mexican poncho is worn is it goes over a persons shoulders and hugs their waist line as if to look absolutely beautiful. They also normally wear these leather sandals which are called huaraches. Nike has a brand of shoes mimicked after these sandals which are worn by big players. I think its crazy that newer age is copying older age mexican clothing to get their sales up.

The Sombreros are mainly used to protect the mens beautiful young faces and skin from the scorching sunlight that radiates heat that is unimaginable.  Since the rim of the hat is so wide it can be used to catch rain and so the mexican man wearing the mexican clothing can get himself a glass of water from them. Poncho's are the mexican clothing that is used for the cold and rainy weather. Women will rock blouses and longer skirts in various colors that you can imagine as the colors are all usually very bright and vibrant, the women often go barefoot or wear plastic sandals. Most mexican clothing in the villages is homemade.
